Joy’s Story

Joy, the busy bee, is associated with the color yellow on the Wheel of Emotions. She embodies a powerful, ever-growing force of positivity and represents the emotion of joy. Joy is a high achiever who radiates positivity and is filled with determination. However, her perpetual optimism and unwavering positivity prevent her from understanding the importance of other emotions, depriving her of the chance to learn and grow through the difficult feelings she unconsciously avoids. By shying away from anything that might make her sad or afraid, she misses out on opportunities to befriend Vladimir the Big Bear and others. Yet, the progress hindered by her “toxic positivity” is somewhat balanced by the energy she draws from Blue the Olive and the guidance provided by the Queen Bee.
